What is the difference between RAW HAIR and VIRGIN HAIR?
-
RAW HAIR is significantly different from virgin hair. Both are human hair extensions; however, raw hair hasn’t been chemically altered or steamed processed. Essentially, they get the hair from the donor and then clean it and attach the wefts and send it to you. The way you get the hair is the same way the person had it on their head. Raw hair primarily comes in straight, natural wave and in curly.
Raw hair require different maintenance from virgin hair.
- Raw hair needs a lot of moisturizing and conditioning.
- I highly recommend using quality products - some products to considered are:
- Pantene
- Nexxus
- OGX Nourishing Coconut Milk
There are specific products you should and should not use on raw hair.
However, the products used on virgin hair won’t alter the pattern in any way.
While raw hair is better quality, keep in mind it will be more expensive and will last up to 5 years with proper care.
VIRGIN HAIR has been steamed processed to give it texture and will last 2 - 3 years with proper care. Virgin hair comes in a variety of origins and textures; unlike raw hair, which only comes in three textures and usually one to three origins, like Cambodian, Indian, and Vietnamese.
There are a wide variety of virgin hair textures and patterns range from Brazilian, Malysian, Peruvian, Mongolian, etc. and a variety of textures like kinky curly, body wave, deep curly, etc.
Can the hair be colored?
All our hair can be color and bleach; however, we advise that you seek professional help to avoid over processing the hair.
How long does the hair last?
The longevity of the hair depends on the type of hair purchase and how well the hair is cared for; because we specialize in virgin and raw hair, we advise our dolls to treat the hair as if it’s their own hair.
Bear in mind Raw and Virgin Hair requires different treatment.
How many bundles are needed for a sew in?
12” - 16” inches needs 2-3 bundles

24” - 30” inches needs 4 - 5 bundles
“The longer the hair, the shorter the weft and thinner the bundles”
Difference between Single, Double and Super Double Drawn Hair.
- Single Drawn Hair - is a cheaper hair depending on the grade of the hair - description are as follows:
- Thinner bundles
- Thick at the top and thin at the ends - people with thin hair are more fun of this hair.
-
Less hair volume (or Density)
- Hair tends to have fly a ways, as they are not thick from root to ends.
Double Drawn Hair
- More expensive to produce and cost more on the market
- Fuller hair from root to ends
- All hair lengths are equal - this give the hair the fuller look
- hair tenacity is higher and very durable compare to single drawn hair.
- less shedding problems
Super Double Drawn Hair
- Hairs are the same length
- No Fly a way
- Shorter hairs are completely removed in order to get the perfect look
- To pluck hair by hand it’s a bit complicated due to the natural strength and fullness of the hair
- Hair is slimy and wavy due to the quality of the hair and making process
- Cost more than single and double drawn hair.
